Acronis Backup Cloud: how to update the credentials to Microsoft SQL/Exchange databases in the web console

Introduction

This applies to cases when the SQL/Exchange credentials were updated on the Exchange/SQL server.

Solution

Case 1: you are backing up the Databases separately :

1. Wait 15 minutes after changing SQL Server credentials.

2. Open Acronis web console.

3. Navigate to the Devices tab and drill down into SQL Server instance to view list of databases.

4. Product will prompt for new SQL Server credentials. Provide new credentials.

Case 2: you are backing up the Databases as part of application aware backup :

In the settings of the backup plan, re-select the Applications ; you will be prompted for the credentials. Provide new credentials.

Additional information

You don't need to re-select the Databases or change the backup plan.
