Acronis Backup Cloud: backing up
Backing up entire machine, disks, files or system state
- In Backup Management Console click Backup :
- A backup plan template is offered. Select items you want to back up: Entire machine, Disks/volumes, Files/folders or System state. By default, all disks will be backed up. Alternatively you can select specific items you want to back up.
- Select destination for your backup:
- Cloud
- Local folder on each machine with backup client.
- Network folder. Specify the path to the share \\IP_or_name_of_machine\Share
- NFS folder
- Secure zone - Schedule backups:
- Select Cleanup scheme (retention rules). You have multiple options here: clean up archive based on backup age or number of backups, specify a single rule for all backups or different rules for monthly, weekly and daily backups:
- Name and save the plan.
- Click Create .
Now the plan is selected for your machine. You can apply this backup plan to multiple machines: select a machine -> click Backup -> select a backup plan and enable it for this machine.
Backing up SQL Databases or Exchange Data
- On the left panel, click Microsoft SQL / Microsoft Exchange.
- By clicking on a machine browse to the data you want to back up. You can select entire instances or individual databases.
- Click Backup.
- A backup plan template is offered.
- You can change backup destination, schedule and archive cleanup settings.
- Click Apply .
- Name and save the plan.
- Now the plan is selected for your machine.
