Acronis Backup: how to check if Acronis Bootable Media is loaded in UEFI or legacy BIOS mode
When performing troubleshooting you might need to know whether Acronis Bootable media is booted in UEFI or legacy BIOS modes.
Method 1. If you can see bootable media Loading, then pay attention to its initial screen:
- Legacy BIOS Boot includes Welcome screen with 2 options "Rescue media" and "Continue OS Booting"
- UEFI loader just has black screen with "Loading recovery media using UEFI Loader
Method 2. If you have System Information, collected from Bootable Media open file named dmesg.txt and search for string "efi:". If "efi:" is found then Bootable Media is booted in UEFI mode
Here is example how dmesg.txt may look like when booted in UEFI mode
